The Hermit & the Owl is concerned with mankinds relationship with the planet, which most of us are aware is in crisis. Here, the Hermit is at one with nature and the planet to such a high degree that he is able to commune with both the trees and all the animals in the wild. The Hermit sees the owl as a little brother, and the creature also symbolises the hermit's ability to allow his sprit to ascend to the heights at will. People come to see the Hermit to be healed of their woes and sickness. his home is the mountains above where he resides in a cave.     

The original painting 100cm x 80cm was done on canvas using mixed media. 

A4 size print with bevelled, ivory mount.
