THIS IS A SPECIMEN FROM A PALLASITE METEORITE FOUND IN THE MAGADAN DISTRICT OF RUSSIA NEAR THE SETTLEMENT OF SEYMCHAN, IT WAS DISCOVERED IN THE DRIED UP HEKANDUE RIVER BED.
THE METEORITE WAS FOUND DURING A GEOLOGICAL SURVEY IN JUNE 1967. THE MAIN MASS WEIGHED 272 KILOGRAMS. A SECOND MASS OF METEORITE WAS DISCOVERED NEARBY IN OCTOBER OF THE SAME YEAR.
