Delivery in normal circumstances is within 3-4 working days of order
Both machines will polish stones of appx 3/4" in size either beach pebbles
or rough rocks

The Polishing process is performed in three steps and takes 3-4 weeks in
total from start to finish and will polish 25 to 50 stones per barrel
depending on the barrel size instructions below
P.S Polishing instructions that you asked about are
Stage one
a 2/3 to 3/4 fill your barrel with stones of a similar hardness about 3/4 inch in size
b add water to the top of the stones then a tablespoon of coarse grit (this is not normal sand but hard carborrundam grit)
c close the lid securely start the tumbler first the place the full drum on the rollers and leave tumbling for 5-8 days
Second stage
a wash stones well making sure no grains of grit are left in the barrel or on the stones use a old tooth brush to scrub the stones if needs be if you don't take time with this you may get poor results
be replace stones to barrel add water to the top of the stones then a tablespoon of fine grit (this is not normal sand but hard carborrundam grit)
c close the lid securely place the full drum on the rollers and leave tumbling for 12-14 days this time
Second stage
a wash stones well making sure no grains of grit are left in the barrel or on the stones use a old tooth brush to scrub the stones if needs be if you don't take time with this you may get poor results
b replace stones to barrel add water to the top of the stones then a tablespoon of fine grit (this is not normal sand but hard carborrundam grit)
c close the lid securely place the full drum on the rollers and leave tumbling for 12-14 days this time

Third polishing stage
a wash stones well making sure no grains of grit are left in the barrel or on the stones use a old tooth brush to scrub the stones if needs be if you don't take time with this you may get poor results
b replace stones to barrel add water to the top of the stones then a two teaspoons full of polish
c close the lid securely place the full drum on the rollers and leave tumbling for 5-7days this time

at once meaning you can get results more frequently

3LB MACHINE KIT
The 3lb machine comes as a kit with the machine barrels and enough grit to
last for 3 or 4 months but if you would like to purchase more at the time it
will not add to your carriage costs as the rate remains the same upto 25Kg
The only other things your may want is rough rock this is also available on
this page but of course you might just be happy polishing beach pebbles for
now. We also sell a book for beginning polishing that can also be found on
the stone polishing pages

2LB MACHINE
This machine comes as machine and barrels only.
With this machine we recommend the grit below would last appx you 3 or 4
tumbles cycles ie enough to keep you going for 3 to 4 months

Both machines are usually kept in stock and delivery is £7.50 for up to 25Kg
in weight to mainland UK excluding Highland areas of Scotland
